هدفت الباحثة من خلال البحث الحالى إلى الكشف عن الفروق بين الطلاب المتفوقين عقلياً وأقرانهم العاديين فى مستوى الحساسية الانفعالية ، وكذلك الفروق تبعاً لمتغير النوع (ذكور- وإناث) فى الحساسية الانفعالية لدى عينتى البحث، وتكونت عينة البحث الأساسية من (317) طالب وطالبة من طلاب المرحلة الثانوية (181 من الطلاب المتفوقين عقلياً، 136 من الطلاب العاديين )، وقد تراوحت أعمارهم بين (14-18) عاماً بمتوسط عمرى قدرة (15,90) وانحراف معيارى قدره (0,884)، وأعدت الباحثة مقياس الحساسية الانفعالية ، وطبقت أختبار المصفوفات المتتابعة العادى لجون رافن لقياس الذكاء كأحد محكات أختيار المتفوقين عقلياً، وقد توصلت الباحثة من خلال تحليل النتائج إلى : وجود فروق فى الدرجة الكلية للحساسية الانفعالية  بين الطلاب المتفوقين عقلياً والعاديين فى إتجاه الطلاب المتفوقين، كما وجدت فروق بين الذكور الإناث المتفوقين عقلياً  فى بعدى الحساسية نحو الذات والحساسية الاجتماعية لصالح الذكور ، وفى بعد الحساسية نحو المستقبل فى إتجاه الإناث، كما أثبتت وجود فروق تعزى للنوع لدى الطلاب العاديين فى الدرجة الكلية للحساسية الانفعالية فى إتجاه الإناث. The Researcher aimed to know the differences between the mentally talented students and their normal peers in the level of emotional sensitivity, and the differences according to the gender variable (male - female) in emotional sensitivity for two Research Sample, and the main sample consisted of (317) students in the secondary stage ( 181 of the mentally talented students, 136 of the normal students), their ages ranged between (14-18) years for average age (15.90), ​ standard deviation of (0.884). The Researcher prepared emotional sensitivity scale ,and matrices successive John Raven Test was administered .The Researcher revealed several results: There were differences in the total score of emotional sensitivity between the mentally talented and normal students in favor of the talented students, and there were differences between the mentally talented males and females in two factors of sensitivity (self -sensitivity and social sensitivity) in favor of males, and in the factor of future sensitivity in favor of females, and there were differences according to gender for Normal student in the total score of emotional sensitivity in favor of females.
