This article focuses that the romanticism is rooted in the deepest of the soul of orientalist modernism; in fact, there is a close relationship between romanticism, modernism and oriental exoticism: romanticism resides in the bowels of the orientalist while the surface is modernized. The melancholic is found next to the bellicose and we perceive a duality of values that are exalted in the oriental as well as in the romantic and modernist.

Orientalism itself creates an environment of satisfaction of longings and desires so that it makes the Westerner approach and sympathize with the East which momentarily ceases to be far and distant.

At the beginning of the 20th century, modernism became a new romanticism that little by little took root in the Spanish literature of that time. Orientalism is everything that is written about the Orient from an anthropological, sociological, or ideological point of view and also consists of the description of the customs of the oriental peoples, immersing themselves in an infinite comparison between Orient and Occident.
