This study aimed mainly at determining the knowledge and implementing needs at level of rural women in storing and preserving grains, determining the relationship between each of the above stated dependent variables and the stated independent variables, also determining the contribution percentage of some independent variables correlated significantly to each of the variables stated in explaining the total variance in these dependent variables, also determining the effect of the two dependent on loss ratio of wheat and maize crop, and determining the sources of knowledge of the ural women about the recommencta• lions. Data were collected from random sample of 300 (about 5% ) from respondents by using personal interviewer in four villages of mono-Oa and Fayoum Governorates. Data were tabulated, processed and analyzed by using Chi Square, Simple correlation , multiple correlation and regression analysis (step-wise ) , as well as frequencies and percentages. The main results of the study revealed that: About half of the interviewer (50.7%) were high or moderate in the knowledge needs level, and (69.7%) of them thek needs level to implement the recommendations of storing and preserving grains were either high or moderato. According to the simple correlation matrix; there were significant rela-tionship between the knowledge need degrees of respondents in stor-ing grains and 7 variables (out of 13 variables studied ) , while 6 of the respondents' need degrees to implement the recommendations studied insignificant. Multiple correlation and regression analysis (steO•wise) revealed that (20.5%) of the total variance of respondents knowledge need degrees can be explained through the contribution of the following three Inde-pendent variables: the amount of stored grains in previous year (8.9%), the mass media exposure degree (10.5 %) , attitude towards change degree (1.1 %). The contribution of the number of stored grains in previous year (7.6%) , mass media exposure degree (8.8 %) and proper store for storing (1.8 %) are the three variables contributed by (18.2 %) to explain the total variance of respondents need degree to Implement the recommendations studied. There is significant relationship between each of the knowledge and implement needs level and loss ratio of wheat crop, while it has not been proven to maize crop.
