It can be said that they have been integrated into the language of daily social life. In the 21st century, Internet catchphrases spread rapidly in various media, becoming special language variants, carrying unique cultural connotations, and reflecting social forms and public psychology in a specific period. The characteristics of Internet buzzwords and how to translate Internet buzzwords to accurately convey semantics have aroused the thinking and attention of linguists and translators. Aiming at this point, this study aims to summarize the translation strategies of current Internet buzzwords by analyzing the translations of predecessors, starting with the basic word formation, characteristics and classification of Chinese Internet buzzwords, and emphatically analyzing the translation methods of Internet buzzwords. Internet buzzwords are different from the language we learn in daily life. The former is a special language form used in the Internet. It is a narrow sense of idioms related to the Internet and terms and symbols with special forms or specific meanings.
