The research aimed to determine the level of knowledge of the respondents about the activities of civil society organizations to achieve sustainable development goals, the level of these organizations carrying out activities to achieve these goals, the level of benefit from them, the effectiveness of civil society organizations in achieving these goals, the most important obstacles facing civil society organizations, and some proposals for overcoming them.
This research was conducted on six civil society organizations in the Al-Arish and Bir Al-Abd in North Sinai, on a sample size of 193 respondents from the beneficiaries of these organizations, and the data was collected during the months of April-May 2023, using a questionnaire form prepared for this purpose, and used to analyze and present it. The data are numerical tally tables, percentages, Pearson's simple correlation coefficient, chi-square, the "F" test for analysis of variance and significance of differences, and the least significant difference (LSD) test. The most important results were as follows: (67.2%) had an average level of benefit from the three sustainable development goals studied in general, and (82%) reported that the effectiveness of civil society organizations is high in achieving the goal of improving the quality of life. While (46.6%) see its effectiveness as high in achieving the goal of justice and social integration, (52.3%) in achieving the goal of environmental sustainability.
The results indicated that there are significant differences between civil society organizations in terms of their effectiveness in achieving the studied sustainable development goals.
