استهدف البحث الحالي التعرف على نماذج التميز وإمكانية الإفادة منها للمؤسسة التعليمية في مصر، وذلك من خلال التعرف على أهم الأسس النظرية للتميز المؤسسي، والوقوف على أهم النماذج العربية في مجال التميز المؤسسي، والوقوف على أهم النماذج الأجنبية في مجال التميز المؤسسي بالإضافة إلى تحديد أهم الدروس المستفادة من نماذج التميز للمؤسسة التعليمية في مصر، واستخدام البحث المنهج الوصفي على اعتبار أنه يتناول أهم نماذج التميز المؤسسي وإمكانية الإفادة منها للمؤسسة التعليمية في مصر حتى يحقق أهدافه ويجيب عن تساؤلاته، وكان من أبرز نتائجه أن المؤسسات التعليمية في مصر تحتاج إلى توفير بيئة مدرسية فاعلة ومتميزة وذات جودة عالية، كما أن تحقيق التميز المدرسي على أرض الواقع يتطلب توفير قوانين محفزة وتحفيز العناصر البشرية المبدعة بالمدرسة.
