Interest in waste management and recycling, together with the effective and wise use of energy 
and water was progressively increased in Saudi Arabia to achieve sustainability and wildlife 
conservation in its sensitive ecosystems. The establishment of integrated waste management 
systems in economically and environmentally promising areas is of great attention.
This work is aiming at reviewing the various methods and practices undertaken in developing 
countries in waste management and the rational and effective use of energy and water in sensitive 
ecosystem areas.
Exploring the distinctive environmental elements of the Al-Baha region as one of the most 
important sensitive regions of the Kingdom was performed to identify undertaken waste disposal 
methods and their negative effects.
.Several extended practices and scenarios were proposed to support effective management in 
maintaining the ecological balance in sensitive ecosystems.    ازداد الاهتمام بإدارة النفايات وإعادة التدوير ، جنبًا إلى جنب مع الاستخدام الفعال والحكيم للطاقة والمياه في المملكة العربية السعودية لتحقيق الاستدامة والحفاظ على الحياة الفطريه في أنظمتها البيئية الحساسة. إن إنشاء أنظمة متكاملة لإدارة النفايات في المناطق الواعدة اقتصاديًا وبيئيًا يحظى باهتمام كبير. يهدف هذا العمل إلى مراجعة مختلف الأساليب والممارسات المتبعة في البلدان النامية في إدارة النفايات والاستخدام الرشيد والفعال للطاقة والمياه في مناطق النظم البيئيه الحساسة, كما يسلط الضوء علي العناصر البيئية المميزة لمنطقة الباحة كواحدة من أهم المناطق الحساسة في المملكة للتعرف على طرق التخلص من النفايات المتبعة وآثارها السلبية. تم اقتراح العديد من الممارسات والسيناريوهات الموسعة لدعم الإدارة الفعالة في الحفاظ على التوازن البيئي في النظم البيئية الحساسة وخاصة منطقة الباحة بما يحفظ مكوناتها البيئية ويؤهلها لجذب السياحة البيئية.
