The aim of this study was to identify and define critical success factors through the application of total quality management in construction projects, especially large ones in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA Region), Egypt, and Saudi Arabia as a model. The basis of the study was a survey, then personal interviews and workshops with contractors, consulting offices, project management offices, and stakeholders, where project managers, managers of technical offices, consulting offices, project management offices, and members of the project team were interviewed, all of whom work on different construction projects in terms of type, size and value with contracts Construction with a value ranging from 40 million to 450 million dollars, in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Personal interviews were completed with project managers, managers, and experienced professionals, with additional interviews as a second opinion. The study identified a wide list of potential success factors for construction projects, and by using the survey, this list was sent to 220 respondents, 105 surveys were received, and the results were analyzed statistically, and their results were compared through workshops and personal interviews as a second opinion, and accordingly, The most important critical success factors for projects were identified through the application of total quality and outcome analysis and compared to some relevant previous research. The comparison confirmed many of the conclusions reached in previous research but also raised new aspects of CSFs, which relate to the need to focus on leadership, organizational aspects, and management skills with a project steering committee. In addition to paying attention to the availability of resources and professional management of cost, quality, time, and risk. Also, the need to pay attention to the professional management of contracts and attention to procedures and operations. Stakeholders, especially customers, are satisfied with achieving their expectations and goals.   كان الهدف من هذه الدراسة هو تحديد وتعريف عوامل النجاح الحرجة من خلال تطبيق إدارة الجودة الشاملة في مشاريع التشييد وخصوصاً الكبيرة منها في  منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا (MENA Region)، مصر والمملكة العربية السعودية نموذجاً. وقد كان أساس الدراسة هو الاستقصاء ثم المقابلات الشخصية وورش العمل مع المقاولين المكاتب الاستشارية ومكاتب إدارة المشاريع والمعنيين، حيث تمت مقابلة مديري المشاريع ومديري المكاتب الفنية والمكاتب الإستشارية ومكاتب إدارة المشاريع وأعضاء فريق المشروع، وجميعهم يعملون في مشاريع تشييد مختلفة من حيث النوع والحجم والقيمة مع عقود تشييد بقيمة تتراوح بين 40 مليون – 450 مليون دولار، في مصر والسعودية. استُكملت المقابلات الشخصية مع مديري المشاريع والمديرين والمتخصصين ذوي الخبرة، ومقابلات إضافية كرأي ثان. وقد حددت الدراسة قائمة واسعة من عوامل النجاح المحتملة لمشاريع التشييد، وباستخدام الإستقصاء, تم ارسال هذه القائمة إلى عدد 220 فرداً من أفراد العينة تم استلام  105 إستقصاءاً وتم تحليل النتائج إحصائياً, ومقارنة نتائجها من خلال ورش العمل والمقابلات الشخصيةكرأي ثان , وبناءً على ذلك، تم تحديد أهم عوامل النجاح الحرجة للمشاريع من خلال تطبيق  الجودة الشاملة وتحليل النتيجة ومقارنتها ببعض الأبحاث السابقة ذات الصلة. وقد أكدت المقارنة العديد من الاستنتاجات التي تم التوصل إليها في البحوث السابقة ولكنها طرحت أيضًا جوانب جديدة لماهية عوامل النجاح الحرجة والتي تتعلق بضرورة التركيز على دور القيادة والجوانب التنظيمية ومهارات الإدارة مع وجود لجنة توجيهية للمشروع. إضافة إلى الاهتمام بتوافر الموارد وحسن إدارة التكلفة والجودة والوقت والمخاطر. وأيضاً ضرورة الاهتمام بالإدارة المحترفة للعقود والاهتمام بالإجراءات والعمليات. ورضا أصحاب المصلحة وخصوصاً العملاء بتحقيق توقعاتهم وأهدافهم .
