فتعد الهيدونية من أقدم الفلسفات ظهورًا ، والتي أثارت جدلًا في التاريخ الفلسفي،  وقد ظهرت الهيدونية عند فلاسفة اليونان متمثلًة في الهيدونيةِ الفرديةِ، ومن أهم فلاسفة اليونان الذين دعموا هذا الاتجاه: ( بروتاغوراس،  أرستبوس، إبيقور)، إلا أن هذا المذهب لم يحقق للإنسان السعادة التي يطمح في الوصول إليها، بل كان مدعاة لهدم القيم والأخلاق،  ولم يكن لمذهب اللذة ظهورًا في العصـر الوسيط، إلا أنه عاود الظهور، وبقوة في العصر الحديث، متمثلًا في المنفعة العامة، على يد كل من: (بنتام، وجون ستيورات مل)، حيث يعد (بنتام) مؤسسًا لمذهب المنفعة العامة في العصر الحديث، محاولًا التوفيق بين الهيدونية الفردية والجماعية، وقد حاول مل السير على منهجه أستاذه (بنتام)، والتعديل فيه حتى يصير متلائمًا مع روح العصـر الحديث،  أما الرؤية الإسلامية فإنها توازن بين المطالب المادية والمطالب الروحية، معتمدًة على عنصر القيمة في العمل الأخلاقي، للوصول إلى طاعة الله – تعالى- في عمل الخير، والبعد عن معصيته المتمثل في عمل الشـر، ومن خلال هذه الرؤية يتضح لنا معالم البحث تحت عنوان: الهيدونية الجماعية عند فلاسفة الأخلاق في العصر الحديث، دراسة تحليلية نقدية. Abstract: Praise be to Allah, and prayers and peace be upon our master the Messenger of Allah, his family and companions, and those who follow him. Hedonism is one of the oldest philosophies emerged, which has sparked controversy in philosophical history, and Hedonism has emerged when the Greek philosophers represented in the individual Hedonism, and the most important Greek philosophers who supported this trend: (Protagoras, Aristobus, Epicurus), but this doctrine did not achieve the happiness that man aspires to reach, but was a cause for the destruction of values and morals, and the doctrine of pleasure did not appear in the Middle Ages, but it pI would like to appear, and strongly in the modern era, represented in the public benefit, by both: (Bentam, and John Stuart Mill), where (Bentam) is the founder of the doctrine of public benefit in the modern era, trying to reconcile between individual and collective Hedonism, and Mill tried to follow his approach to his teacher (Bentam), and modify it until it becomes compatible with the spirit of the modern era, while the Islamic vision balances between material demands and spiritual demands, relying on the element of value in moral work, to reach obedience to God – Almighty - in doing good, and away from his disobedience of doing evil, and through this vision it becomes clear to us the features of the research under the title: collective hedonism among moral philosophers in the modern era, a critical analytical study.
