Abstract

Occupational safety and health is the safety barrier in health care facilities. Therefore, all members of society must be fully aware of the culture of prevention and safety in the workplace, specifically hospitals and nursing homes, with complete conviction in the values and foundations of occupational safety, in order to avoid injuries and risks, and in order to achieve In addition, the researchers relied on the descriptive analytical approach to suit the research topic, which aims to collect descriptions of the phenomenon under research, design the necessary tool and apply it to a sample of employees working in the Department of Occupational Safety and Health and Medical Waste Management from some government hospitals in Cairo Governorate - Arab Republic of Egypt, and reached The research led to many results, including: Hospitals seek to develop programs for occupational safety and health by increasing health awareness among employees and hospital workers, in order to reach the maximum possible extent of preserving the safety of all workers and patients alike. The research also concluded that Employees and administrators working in hospitals have the technical capabilities to implement the rules and procedures for occupational safety and health. Hospitals update the training of employees at the Occupational Safety and Health Administration using the tools used for protection when viruses appear that are transmitted between people and how to deal with them. Researchers have recommended the importance of disseminating information related to Occupational safety and health (guidance-training-developmental information) and sharing it with all hospital employees, in order to increase awareness among hospital employees in general, as well as the importance of all employees in the hospital's medical waste management participating in training and development programs for occupational safety and health in order to safely dispose of waste.
