Abstract

The research aims to identify the impact of the family's economic status, the internal and external household environment, and the mother's level of awareness on the health of the child. Furthermore, the study aims to reveal the most significant factors influencing child infection, especially those caused by the environmental pollution through using the logistic regression analysis. Employing a descriptive analytical approach, the research establishes a relationship between the mentioned factors and child health. The findings indicate that the household external environment is the most influential factor, followed by the mother's awareness level, and finally, the household internal environment. To conclude, the study has recommended giving more attention to the development of the external environment that could be represented in paving the roads, collecting, and recycling the waste as those factors negatively influence the child's health. The development strategies could directly be executed by the government represented in the localities or by other stakeholders. More attention should also be paid to awareness campaigns to change the negative social norms and behaviors toward the environment.
