Arab countries paid early attention to intellectual property issues, so that we find some of them have contributed to the international effort to protect intellectual property in the 19th century, as is the case of the Republic of Tunisia. And that a large number of major Arab countries were members of many international intellectual property agreements. And through the legislative survey on the scope of protection established in the Arab countries for intellectual property works, we find that all Arab countries have laws in the field of copyright protection, patents, design and trademarks, but in the field of trade secrets, there is only the Jordanian law. Integrated we find new legislation in this field in Jordan, Oman and Tunisia. As for the position of Arab countries on international agreements in the field of intellectual property, the majority of Arab countries are members of the three most important agreements, which are the agreement establishing the World Intellectual Property Organization, the Berne Convention on Literary Property, and the Paris Agreement on Industrial Property. As for the "TRIPS" agreement, the membership of any Arab country in the World Trade Organization makes it committed to the provisions of this agreement. Egypt is the leader in concluding agreements, as it joined 11 out of 24 agreements, then Morocco comes with 10 agreements, then Tunisia with nine agreements, then Algeria with 8 agreements.
