Abstract
The goal of the computer science field of artificial intelligence (AI) is to mimic mental processes, learning capacities, and knowledge management. It is remarkable how many applications there are in both clinical and experimental medicine. Applications of artificial intelligence in diet and nutrition are a relatively new but significant area. There are various nutrition-related applications available for people to utilize. The rise in artificial intelligence applications has also been prompted by the significance of personal nutrition. It is believed that various apps, including those that measure nutritional intake and food preferences, can be crucial in promoting health. When assessing food consumption, researchers may encounter challenges such as recalling the frequency or quantity of eating. Overcoming these challenges is made possible by some applications employed in the evaluation of food consumption. In addition, these applications make research easier and yield more accurate results than conventional techniques. It is important to take into account the drawbacks when developing applications for the nutrition and dietetics fields. Applications of artificial intelligence are anticipated to support nutritional status monitoring and assessment as well as health improvement.
