Introduction: Many chemicals are currently used in agriculture among which plant growth regulators are widely employed. Gibberellic acid (GA3) plays important roles in many cellular processes including promoting stem elongation, and mobilization of food reserves in grass seed germination, juvenility, and sex expression. The aim of the work: To detect the possible chronic toxic effects of gibberellic acid on liver and kidney and effect on hemoglobin and blood glucose levels. Methodology: the sample rats were divided into four equal groups of animals. The first group is control group (group G1). The remaining three groups received different doses of gibberellic acid (group G2 received 1/10 of LD50), Group G3 received 1/100 of LD50, Group G4 received 1/200 of LD50). Each group was subdivided into 2 subgroups: The first subgroup (A) containing 10 rats that were treated with gibberellic acid orally by gavage for 12 weeks then salvaged for histopathology. The second subgroup (G2R, G3R and G4R) containing 5 rats that were kept after the treatment for recovery period for 2 weeks to detect its cumulative effect. The rats of each group were weighed at the beginning of the experiment then every week for 12 weeks, the change in body weight was calculated. Repeated blood samples were collected for measuring hemoglobin and blood glucose level. Then 10 rats from each of the four groups were sacrificed by decapitation.
