Abstract

This Research aimed mainly to study Awareness of Alexandria University's Youth about Reproductive Health Issues, and Suggestion Extensional Program,  and that by achieving the following objectives: Detection of Socioeconomic characteristics of the research sample, Determining sources of information of the research sample related to reproductive health issues, Studying the current situation of the research sample's benefit from youth-friendly clinics, Measuring the level of awareness of the research sample (Information - Attitudes) about reproductive health issues, and Suggestion Extensional Program to development Awareness of University's Youth about Reproductive Health Issues. The population of this Research included all male and female students at the faculties of Alexandria University, four colleges were randomly selected, two colleges theoretical are the College of Education and the College of Business, and two colleges practical are the college of Agriculture and the college of science. the Proportional sample amounted to (461) Respondents from the total number of male and female students at the faculties studied, the questionnaire was used to collect data for this research through personal interviews with the research sample During Second Semester 2022/2023. The statistical methods used for data analysis were percentages, relative weight, means, standard deviation, range and Pearson correlation coefficient by using the Statistical Program spss.v.25.
The main Results of this research were:
1- Awareness of Medical Examination Before Marriage: The percentage of whose with a medium level of awareness was (39%) compared to (61%) who were with a high level of awareness.
2- Awareness of Consanguineous Marriages: The percentage of whose with a medium level of awareness was (60.9%) compared to (39.1%) who were with a high level of awareness.
3- Awareness of Early Marriage: The percentage of whose with a medium level of awareness was (47.7%) compared to (50.3%) who were with a high level of awareness.
4- Awareness of Female Mutilation: The percentage of whose with a medium level of awareness was (30.8%) compared to (67.5%) who were with a high level of awareness.
5- Awareness of Family Planning: The percentage of whose with a medium level of awareness was (61.4%) compared to (38.6%) who were with a high level of awareness.
6- Awareness of Infertility: The percentage of whose with a medium level of awareness was (64.8%) compared to (35.2%) who were with a high level of awareness.
7- Awareness of Care during pregnancy: The percentage of whose with a medium level of awareness was (67.7%) compared to (32.3%) who were with a high level of awareness.
8- Awareness of Sexually transmitted diseases: The percentage of whose with a medium level of awareness was (84.6%) compared to (15.5%) who were with a high level of awareness.
9- Awareness of Breast cancer: The percentage of whose with a medium level of awareness was (49.7%) compared to (50.3%) who were with a high level of awareness.
10- Awareness of Reproductive Health Issues: The percentage of whose with a medium level of awareness was (53.8%) compared to (46.2%) who were with a high level of awareness.
