Rural Women,s Benefit from Micro-enterprises in Fayoum Governorate

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the characteristics of rural women respondents who owned micro-enterprises, determine their level of benefit from their project (economicly, socialy, and psychologicaly satisfaction), identify the most important factors affecting that benefit, and to identify the obstacles facing them in achieving that benefit.
Study was conducted on a systematic random sample of beneficiaries of loans from the small, medium and micro enterprises development Agency, which reached to 375 respondents. Data were collected by a personal interview questionnaire prepared to achieve the study objectives.          
Findings of the study showed that almost half of the respondents (50.9%) had a positive attitude towards change, and nearly two-thirds of the sample (65.1%) had a positive attitude towards private work. The benefit level for majority of the respondents from their projects was medium, as mentioned by (60.8%), compared to only 23.2%, the level of benefit was high. The most influencing factors on the degree of benefit of the respondents from their projects were the project period, cosmopolitiness, Attitudes towards private work, and the family size, were the most important factors affecting the benefit.
