Abstract

A numerical method is developed to solve the nonlinear Boussinesq equation using the
quintic B-spline collocation method. Applying the Von Neumann stability analysis, the proposed
method is shown to be unconditionally stable. An example has been considered to illustrate the efficiency of the method developed.
