Abstract

Between January 1988 and January 1999 all patients with intrathoracic stomach presenting to our practice were
reviewed. The different ways of presentation and the different investigations which determined diagnosis were discussed.
The risk of volvulus and the effectiveness of surgical repair were evaluated.
