Abstract

Tobacco smoking increases risk for 
cardiovascular diseases, ischemia and 
arrhythmogenesis. Tar and carbon monoxide 
from burning tobacco can affect oxygen carrying 
capacity, worsen ischemia and decreases aerobic 
capacity.
