This research was conducted at the Nursery of Ornamental Plants, Fac. Agric., Minia Univ. at the two growing seasons of 2022 and 2023 to determine the effect of salicylic acid (100 ppm) and active yeast (5 g/l) on the growth of marjoram plant under irrigation salinity (0.0, 500, 1000 and 2000 ppm NaCl). Data cleared that all examined traits of vegetative growth (plant height/cut, branches and leaves number/cut, leaf area/cut, herb fresh and dry weights per cuts and /season) were declined by rising irrigation water salinity level comparing with control during all cuts in both seasons. Salicylic acid and active yeast treatments significantly increased all the abovementioned traits of vegetative growth during all cuts in both seasons. It is interesting to note that salicylic acid was more effective than active yeast in this concern. In conclusion, spraying plants with salicylic acid at 100 ppm was more effective than active yeast in alleviating the harmful impacts of moderate salinity concentrations (2000 ppm NaCl).
