Evaluation of push-out bond strength of Neosealer Flo bioceramic sealer versus AH Plus sealer with different obturation techniques  (A Comparative in- vitro study)

Abstract

Objective: To evaluate push out bond strength of Neosealer Flo bioceramic sealer in comparison to AH Plus sealer with different obturation techniques.

Materials and methods: Twenty extracted human mandibular single-rooted premolar teeth were selected. After decoronation, samples were mechanically prepared then allocated randomly into two groups according to sealer type used for obturation Group I: AH Plus sealer Group II: Neosealer Flo and each group was further subdivided into two subgroups (n=5 per group) according to the obturation technique that was used as follows; Group I a and Group II a: obturated with single cone technique, Group I b and Group II b: obturated with continuous wave of compaction technique. After obturation three dentin slices with thickness of 2-mm were horizontally cut at 3,7, and 11mm length from the apex surface of each sample then push-out test was performed with universal testing machine.

Results: AH Plus showed statistically significantly higher push-out bond strength than Neosealer Flo with CWC technique and no difference with SC technique.

Conclusion: AH plus sealer had higher bond strength when used in CWC technique when compared to Neosealer flo sealer with no significant difference with SC technique.
