Abstract

In a comprehensive report published in 2010, the Organization for Economic Cooperation

and Development (OECD) shed light on the daunting task of combating corruption in Egypt.

The report, part of the Development Support and Business Climate Initiative crafted by the

organization in response to the global financial crisis of 2008, identified Egypt as a crucial

player in the Middle East and North Africa region.
