How Far Hotels Are Aware Of The Needs Of Autistic Children

Abstract

The research aims to study the extent of the hotel industry's interest in children with autism spectrum disorder and to provide all the services they need within the hotel establishment, including food, drink, security, care, entertainment. In developed countries, they have complete hotels specialized for their service and other hotels allocate a number of rooms for them. As the percentage of children with autism is increasing significantly, which calls for the need to pay attention to this category. Field research was applied through a survey questionnaire distributed to managers in the four and five-star hotels sector in (Sharm el-Sheikh, Dahab) and the data were analyzed using the Likert scale. The five degrees, to arrange the participants' answers about the study variables. The results showed that children of the autism spectrum and their families could form a new marketing segment that would benefit the hotel and give the hotel a competitive advantage. The study recommends applying the proposed theoretical framework to meet the needs of children of the autism spectrum in hotels and support this group and allocate even one room that contains their services.
