الملخص: هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى تحديد مستوى التفكير ما وراء المعرفي للطلاب الموهوبين والعاديين من طلاب الصف الثالث متوسط بمدينة الطائف ، والفروق بينهم في درجة ممارسة هذه المهارات. واتبعت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي (السببي المقارن) وتمثلت أداة البحث في مقياس مستوى التفكير ما وراء المعرفي، وتضمن (32) فقرة موزعة على ثلاث أبعاد هي: التخطيط، المراقبة ، التقويم ، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (313) طالبا من الطلاب العاديين،(70) طالبا من الموهوبين تم اختيارهم بطريقة عشوائية في العام الدراسي 1436هـ - 1437هـ ، وتم استخدام المتوسطات الحسابية والانحرافات المعيارية واختبار (ت) لمجموعتين مستقلتين. أظهرت نتائج الدراسة امتلاك الطلاب الموهوبين والعاديين لمهارات التفكير ما وراء المعرفي (التخطيط، المراقبة، التقويم) بمستوى متوسط، ووجدت فروق دالة بين متوسطات درجات الموهوبين والعاديين في مهارات: التخطيط، المراقبة، التقويم في اتجاه الموهوبين، ووجدت فروق دالة بين متوسطات درجات الموهوبين والعاديين في الدرجة الكلية لمهارات التفكير ما وراء المعرفي في اتجاه الموهوبين. وفي ضوء ما توصلت إليه الدراسة من نتائج فقد تم تقديم مجموعة من التوصيات ومنها تدريب الطلاب عامة على مهارات التفكير ما وراء المعرفي لما لها من أهمية كبيرة في تحسين الأداء على أي عمل، إنشاء مدرسة خاصة للموهوبين بعيداً عن الممارسات التقليدية داخل فصول العاديين حتى لا يتم إهدار طاقاتهم وقدراتهم، تصميم المناهج الدراسية بطريقة تشجع الطلاب على التفكير والتخطيط والمراقبة والتقويم على اعتبار أنها مهارات أساسية للنجاح في الأداء .                   Abstract A comparative study of the level of meta cognitive of the normal and talented students from middle school in Taif The present study aimed to determine the level of metacognitive of normal and talented students from middle school students and the differences between them in the degree of practicing these skills. The study followed the descriptive method (Causal comparative).The study sample consisted of (313) students from normal students, (70) of talented students were selected at random in the academic year 1436 AH. scale of metacognitive skills was used which contain  (32) items distributed on three skills: planning, monitoring, evaluation. By using the means and standard deviations, t-test . the study results were: practicing degree of metacognitive skills thinking (planning, monitoring, evaluation) of talented students were moderately and practicing degree of metacognitive skills thinking (planning, monitoring, evaluation) of normal students were moderately too. There are significant differences between the mean scores in the gifted and normal student at skills: planning, monitoring, evaluation and total score in the direction of talented students. In light of the findings of the study of the results has been a set of recommendations including general training students to thinking skills because of their great importance in improving the performance of any work, the establishment of a private school for the gifted away from traditional practices within the ordinary classes so as not to be wasting their energies and abilities and Curriculum design a way that encourages students to think, planning, monitoring and evaluation on the grounds they are essential skills for success in performance
