الملخص: تهدف الدراسة إلى تحديد مستوى تطور التعليم العالي في الأردن، والإشارة إلى مستوى الهدف العام الذي يجب أن يحققه التعليم العالي على هذا الأساس، وبناءً على ذلك يكون لأعضاء هيئة التدريس والموظفين وجهات نظرهم حول طبيعة وتأثير المشكلة. التحديات التي يواجها التعليم العالي تلعب الجامعات ومؤسسات التعليم العالي الأخرى دورًا مهمًا في تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة لعام 2030. في إطار الهدف الرابع لأهداف التنمية المستدامة، تم ذكر مؤسسات التعليم العالي على وجه التحديد، والتي تتضمن جودة التعليم وشموله. ويمتد التأثير في الواقع إلى تحقيق جميع الأهداف من خلال التدريس والتعلم ونتائج البحث والمبادرات التي يتخذها طلاب الكلية. تساهم مؤسسات التعليم العالي في التنمية الاجتماعية والبيئية والاقتصادية وتعد من أهم حاضنات الأفكار والحلول للمشكلات العالمية مما يمكنها من إحداث تأثير إيجابي.وقد أسفرت الدراسة عن عدة نتائج منها: الجامعة ليست فقط موقعًا يوفر العلم والمعرفة، ولكن دورها أكثر من ذلك، وهذا سيمكن التعليم الجامعي من أن يحتل مرتبة بين التعليم العالي في جميع دول العالم، ويحقق التطور المنتظم في كل موسم، وضمن نفس الإطار والبحث يجد الموظفون أن المساحة الحرة والصحيحة المتاحة للجامعة هي فضاء للنقاش، وتنمية المعرفة، والتبادل الثقافي، وتوطيد المبادئ الوطنية وإقامة علاقات علمية ناجحة، وعدم وجود هذه العلاقات يعيق تطور التعليم. الكلمات الافتتاحية:     التعليم العالي – البحث العلمي – التنمية المستدامة.                                                                                            Abstract:     The study aims to determine the level of development of higher education in Jordan, and to indicate the level of the overall goal that higher education should achieve on this basis, and accordingly faculty and staff members have their views on the nature and impact of the problem. The challenges of higher education include universities and other higher education institutions playing an important role in achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. Under the Fourth Goal of the Sustainable Development Goals, higher education institutions were specifically mentioned, including the quality and inclusiveness of education. The impact actually extends to achieving all objectives through teaching, learning, research results and initiatives taken by college students. Higher education institutions contribute to social, environmental and economic development and are one of the most important incubators of ideas and solutions to global problems, enabling them to make a positive impact.     The university is not only a site that provides science and knowledge, but its role more, this will enable university education to rank among higher education in all countries of the world, and achieve sediting in each season, and within the same framework and research staff finds that the free and correct space available to the university is a space for discussion, knowledge development, cultural exchange, consolidation of national principles and the establishment of successful scientific relations, and the absence of these relationships hinders the development of education.
