Abstract

Diabetic patients with normal left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) are frequently associated with 
asymptomatic left ventricle systolic dysfunction, that LVEF is not known to be a sensitive marker 
for the early detection of subclinical LV systolic dysfunction The aim of this study is to use a new 
echocardiographic technique (Speckle tracking echocardiography) for early detection of left Ventricle 
systolic Dysfunction in diabetic and pre diabetic patients
