Recently, with the dominance of modernity, the rules of art and
design have changed dramatically. This development was built
on the accumulation of many scientific and philosophical
theories to keep pace with technological progress. The College
of Design is considered the most influential school in the
twentieth century, and with the progress and development of
artistic movements, modern art reached the height of mental
thought. Through it, it is possible to formulate visual creations
based on intellectual and philosophical perceptions that are
translated linguistically into a dialogue that arises between the
user and the surrounding elements of the design of the interior
space. Hence, the Gestalt theory was based on the mechanism of
operating the perceptual process of the individual, in order to
transcend what is sensual to become fully aware, She explained
that perception is a regulatory process for the inputs of sensory
stimuli arising as a result of the interaction between the different
senses and their interpretation to perceive the meaning, and by
combining the Perception of the psychological process,
sensation and the physiological process A number of principles
for understanding the perceptual field have been reached, known
as Wertheimer's principles.
This paper presents the identification of design strategies
according to the principles and laws of Gestalt theory and its
impact on the design art , perceptual, sensory and aesthetic
process on the functional design of the interior space, and
provides the possibility for the designer to address his design
vocabulary from theoretical characteristics and reformulate them
using modern materials and techniques, to form aesthetic
arrangements that reflect the Gestalt perceptual concept and its
impact On the design process of the concepts of interior
architecture, leading to its crystallization on the aspects of the
artwork and inputs sensory that enhance the design foundations
and enrich the philosophical value of the space.
