Abstract

The present investigation was carried out during two successive seasons 2016/2017 and 2017/2018 to determine the impact of two growth regulators (IAA and IBA) either solely or in combination as well as studying the effect of offshoot weight on rooting of date palm offshoots Cv. Sakkouti. The best results concerning the number of roots, root diameter, the length of longer roots, and new leaves were resulted from treating offshoots by IAA or IBA each at 4000 ppm or in combination between them each at 2000 ppm. The highest weight of offshoots (8-10 kg) presented the best results concerning any investigated parameter.
