This research aims to analyze the narrative discourse on a psychological basis, to reveal the essence of
novelist characters especially the manly-manner feminist characters, to analyze the pattern of their thinking
and their role in moving the events and constructing the narrative direction and to show the characteristics of
their nature, through Carl Jung's theory of psychic analysis known as anima and animus.
The research is based on the novel "Al-Watad" by Khairy Shalaby, because it embodies this
psychological vision in her main personality, Fatima Talabah, who embodied the animus a clear form.
