This study seeks to introduce the theory of (Critical Discourse Analysis). And tries to reveal their
origins, linguistic backgrounds, and methods, as an advanced approach in the analysis of texts and
discourses, bypassing content analysis procedures to detect the misuse of language in order to devote
manifestations of dominance. It is a linguistic theory that emerged in 1989, benefiting from its advances in
the linguistics field, so it received great attention from American and European linguists in particular. The
research is an attempt to define it, its theoretical basis, and criticism of methods. The great purpose of this
research is to prove its linguistic background, in order to avoid confusion in its classification due to the
scarcity of its theoretical and applied researches in the Arabic linguistics.
