Abstract

A new series of fused heterocyclic compounds containing pyridine moieties were prepared via the reaction of 2-amino-6-(methylthio)-4-phenylpyridine-3,5-dicarbonitrile with some halo reagents, active methylenes, acetic anhydride, phenylisothiocyanate, hydrazine hydrate or thioacetamide. Accompanied with Predictions of the activity spectra of some selected compounds using PASS INET.at Pa > 70%, showing high probability of Atherosclerosis treatment, Antineoplastic, DNA intercalator, Protein kinase inhibitor and Signal transduction pathways inhibitor.
