Abstract

Ceric Ammonium Nitrate (CAN), turns out to be commercially available, efficient and mild catalyst for synthesis of polyhydro-2Hcycloalka[d]pyrimidinones and hexahydroquinazolinones in few minutes. Accompanied with Predictions of the activity spectra of some selected compounds using
PASS INET. at Pa > 50%, showing high probability of Protein kinase (CK1) inhibitor and Alpha7 nicotinic receptor agonist. However Cycloheptene systems
showed some important targets including, Insulin growth factor agonist, and Acetylcholine nicotinic agonist and Tumour necrosis factor agonist.
