Abstract

The study aimed at examining the relationship between joint attention and communication among children with autism spectrum disorder, and examining the differences between males and females in joint attention and its sub-dimensions and communication. 22), (13) a child of children with autism spectrum disorder, and their ages ranged between (5.5: 6.5), With an arithmetic mean (5.98), and a standard deviation (0.383), the study used the estimated (Gilliam) scale to diagnose symptoms and severity of autism disorder (Adel Abdullah Muhammad, Abeer Abul-Majd Muhammad, 2020), and the Common Attention Rating Scale for children with autism spectrum disorder. The autism spectrum (prepared by: Amira Ahmed Ismail, 2017), and the autistic child's communicative skills scale (Abdul Aziz Amin Abdel Ghani, 2013), and the study found a positive correlation between communication and joint attention and its sub-dimensions among children with autism spectrum disorder, and there were no differences Between males and females on the two scales of common attention, its dimensions, and the communicative skills of people with autism spectrum disorder.
