This research aimed at determining degree of knowledge and implementation of respondents related to technical recommendations of pasture processes and protection of pastoral resources, in addition to increasing productivity of pastoral resources and identifying extent of utilizing from agricultural information sources and determining the relationship between knowledge and implementation degree related to recommendations to sustainable usage of pastoral resources and independent district variables. The research was conducted in El-Hamam district which consider the second largest district in Matrouh governorate concerning qualitative distribution of animal wealth and number of breeders A simple random sample of breeders was drown. Which consisting of 278 representing 30% al the whole breeders, Field data were collected by a questionnaire form by personal meeting with breeders. Frequencies, percentages, average, arithmetic mean, standard deviations and simple correlation test, and stepwise regression analysis were used to analysis data .
Findings could be summarized as follows
24.8% of the respondents had of low knowledge, 42.8% of them were of average knowledge whereas 32.4% of them were of high knowledge with studied technical recommendations.
39.6% of the respondents had low implementation degree, 31.3% of them were of medium implementation whereas 29.1% were of high implementation f the studied technical recommendations.
Total utilization degree of agricultural and environmental information sources of the researched was 17.8 mean average at the rate of 65.9%.
There is significant relationship at 0.01 level between size of land holding and experience years in animal pasture , farm animals ownership ,degree of formal social participation ,visiting centers that offer annual agricultural services , distance between pasture area and the nearest office of agricultural extension, readiness for change degree, attitudes towards pastoral extension activities and degree of the knowledge degree of related to the recommendations of sustainable usage of pastoral resources whereas there was a significant relationship at level 0.05 for age, number of family members and degree of cultural openness.
