Abstract

Following the infection of 40 male albino ra ts with normal and irradiated Neoascaris vit ulorum eggs there is a non significant decrease in the live body weight in the trea ted groups than in the control one. However, both the level of ser um calcium and inorganic phosphorus is significantly higher in rats infected with normal N. vitulorum eggs and d ecreases in those infected with eggs exposed to irrediation by 50,000 and 100,000 rad-cob alt-60 before its infection.
