EXPERIMENTAL RESECTION OF THE CERVICAL OESOPHAGUS WITH END-TO-END ANSTOMOSIS IN DOGS

Abstract

The present study was conducted on 48 apparently healthy dogs. The operations performed were oesopha gostomy and l, 1 and 2 cm. oesophageal resection with immediate end-to-end anastomosis. The results showed that the amount of resection of the cervical oesophagus in dogs must not exceed than 1.5 cm. in lenth and in which its function is to maintatined.
