Abstract

Precipitating and neutralizing autibodies to Infectious bursal disease (IBD) virus were detected in newly hatched Fayoumi chicks, which protected them up to 3 weeks from infection. Clinical signs, pathological lesions, pathogenesis, and serological response after experimental infection with a highly pathogenic strain of IBD virus were described and discussed.
