يُلقي هذا البحث الضوء على طبيعة المساعدات الاقتصادية الأمريكية لتونس خلال الفترة من 1957-1981م, وكانت هذه العلاقة ذات تأثير إيجابي على تونس في كافة النواحي, وكانت بداية هذه العلاقات قبل الاحتلال الفرنسي لتونس من خلال عقد أول معاهدة للصداقة والتبادل التجاري بين الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وتونس في عام 1797م, وقد استمرت هذه الصداقة قائمة بين الدولتين حتى الاحتلال الفرنسي لتونس عام 1881م, ولقد ظلت العلاقة قائمة حتى حصلت تونس على استقلالها عام 1956م, ولقد منحت الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية تونس الكثير من المساعدات الاقتصادية بموجب الاتفاقيات الموقعة بين الجانبين, والتي قد بلغت أكثر من 600 مليون دولار, وبالرغم من أن الاستثمار الأمريكي في تونس كان ضئيلًا للغاية, إلا أن الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية ظلت تقدم المساعدات الاقتصادية إلى تونس.
The American Economic Aid to Tunisia 1957-1981
Abstract: This research sheds light on the nature of American economic aid to Tunisia during the period from 1957-1981 AD, and this relationship had a positive impact on Tunisia in all respects, and the beginning of these relations was before the French occupation of Tunisia through the conclusion of the first treaty of friendship and trade exchange between the United States of America and Tunisia In 1797 AD, and this friendship continued between the two countries until the French occupation of Tunisia in 1881 AD, and the relationship remained in place until Tunisia gained its independence in 1956 AD, and the United States of America granted Tunisia a lot of economic aid under the agreements signed between the two sides, which amounted to more than of the 600 million dollars, and although the American investment in Tunisia was very small, the United States of America continued to provide economic aid to Tunisia.
