Abstract

1. Abstract: The aim of this study is to uncover the role of social responsibility and its variables (human, moral, social, legal and economical) in constructing mental image of the Egyptian universities. Moreover, it helps determining the level of differences in the perception of the dimensions of social responsibility according to their personal variable. A questionnaire was performed to define the data necessary to make the study required to assess the impact of social responsibility in the construction of mental image. This questionnaire has been distributed to a group of faculties and staff members of a group of Egyptian universities (Alexandria, Tanta, Menoufia and Assiut). The sample of the study reached a number of 537 individuals; consequently the statistical methods that fit the questions and hypotheses of the study were used. Whereas the overall average was (0,07), there were no statistically significant differences in the perception of the social sample according to their demographic variables. There was a significant effect of social responsibility on the building of mental image, with the exception of the economical variable.impact of corporate social responsibility on buying behavior", The Journal of Consumer Affairs, Vol. 35, No. 1, p.45 (2004).
