Abstract

Abstract: This Study Aims to Determine the Role of Social Media in Enhancing Citizen Awareness About National Projects in Egypt, And Its Impact on his Satisfaction About Governmental Performance. A Survey Questionnaire Was Developed to Measure the Level of Citizen Awareness About National Projects and his Satisfaction About Governmental Performance. The Sample Unit Was the Egyptian Citizen to Whom the Questionnaires Were Distributed Depending on a Random Sample. For Analysis Purposes Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) Was Used, In Addition to (AMOS). As the Study Population Exceeds 100000 Units, A Sample Of (384) Individuals Was Drawn, However, 329 - 2 - Questionnaires From 384 Were Valid and Eligible For Analysis, Representing Response Rate Of (85.6%). The Study Findings Revealed A Significant Effect for Social Media on Citizen Satisfaction About Governmental Performance (=0.212, At = 0.05). Also, There Was A Significant Effect for Social Media on Citizen Awareness About National Projects (=0.237, At = 0.05), And A Direct Significant Effect for Citizen Awareness on Citizen Satisfaction (=0.452, At = 0.05). Lastly, Findings Revealed an Indirect Significant Effect for Social Media on Citizen Satisfaction About Governmental Performance When Mediating Citizen Awareness About National Projects.
