Abstract

The phenomenon of climate change is a global phenomenon ((Global Phenomenon), and Egypt is one of the five countries exposed to the negative effects of climate changes, and the importance of climatic elements is their impact on housing, the external environment, the axes of the human being and the building and its impact on urban planning and the level of building. Creating one million housing units for the social housing project one of the most important indicators of quality of life for adequate housing is the climate component as an important factor in achieving housing quality. The research aims to introduce climatic elements and their different characteristics in the regions of Egypt, determine the shape of climate variables, study the effects on the social housing project and develop mitigation solutions. The research follows the inductive approach to monitoring the literature and the deductive approach to conclude determinants that monitor the impact of climate and climate changes and their impact on the social housing project. The research ends with reaching conclusions and recommendations that clarify the importance of the climate component and its impact on the social housing environment and determine the mechanisms through which a thermal comfort zone is created for the user. And raise the quality of life indicator for the project.
