Abstract

The aim of this work was to synthesize a scaffold that can carry and release drugs to be used in tissue engineering. Pnipam was copolymerized with PLLA in different ratios and electrospun into fibers after loading with BSA. The formed copolymers were characterized using NMR and FTIR and the BSA in-vitro release from the nanofibrous scaffolds was assessed at 25ºC and 37ºC. The results showed that a thermoresponsive scaffold was formed were the BSA release was higher at 25ºC and when the percentage of PNIPAm increased in the copolymer.
