Abstract

Aim: To compare the adhesion of two different root canal sealers (AH Plus, EndoREZ) to humanroot dentin by using the push-out test. Materials and Methods:sixty extracted single-rooted human teeth. The crownswere removed thenprepared using Revo-s NiTi rotary files and irrigated with 2.5%  NaOCIand a final rinse with 17% EDTA. After instrumentation the roots divided in to two groups accordingto the sealer  used for obturationAH Plus™, EndoREZ®. The obturated roots were cut perpendicular to the long access to create 2-mm thick slices from the apical, middle, and coronal thirds and subjected to push-out test at a crosshead- speed of 0.5mm/min. Failure modes after push-out were examined under stereomicroscopy and scanning electron microscopy. Results:AH Plus sealer recorded statistically significant (p < 0.05) highest mean value compared with Endo-REZ sealer .The failure mode that AH plus sealer showed predominantly cohesive and mixed failure. While the EndoREZ sealer showed predominantly adhesive failure. Conclusions:AH Plus sealer had the highest mean push-out bond strength to root dentin than EndoREZ.
