Abstract

Aim of study:To evaluate and compare the Apical Microleakageofroot canals filled with AH Plus and EndoREZ root canalSealers. Materials and Methods:A total of sixthyextracted human single-rooted teeth were used. After instrumentation and smear layer removal with 17% EDTA. Teeth were divided into two experimental groups (n=30). AH plus Group: root canals were obturated with AH Plus sealer and gutta-percha using sigle cone technique. EndoREZGroup: root canals were obturated with EndoREZ sealer/EndoREZ® Points using sigle cone technique. Dye extraction was performed using 65% nitric acid. Dye absorbance was measured at 550 nm using spectrophotometer. The data were statistically analyzed using one way ANOVA. Results:it was found that Endo-REZ sealer group recorded statistically significant (p < 0.05) highest mean value (0.05175 nm) and AH Plus sealer group recorded lowest mean value (0.034083 nm).  Conclusions:the resin-based root canal sealer presented lesser apical microleakage than the methacrylate based sealer. Statistical significant differences were observed between the two sealers. Aim of study:To evaluate and compare the Apical Microleakageofroot canals filled with AH Plus and EndoREZ root canalSealers.
