تلعب القنوات الرياضية دوراً هاماً وواضح فى کل مرحلة من مراحل الحياة ، حيث إنه يهتم باحتياجات جماهيرية متعددة الأنماط الاجتماعية والثقافية والعلمية ، والقنوات الرياضية لها الدور الأمثل فى تغطية الأحداث الرياضية ، ويجب الاهتمام بمحتوى ومضمون البرامج الرياضية التى تذاع فى القنوات الرياضية ، من خلال الاطلاع على الدراسات والابحاث ان القنوات الرياضية لها الدور الاکبر فى بث الاحداث الرياضية وتتمحور مشکلة البحث فى من خلال المسح المرجعي للمراجع العلمية العربية و الأجنبية وجد الباحثون أيضاً قصور في الدراسات التي تناولت هذه الدراسة ، يهدف البحث الى مدى متابعة طلاب جامعة کفر الشيخ للقنوات الناقلة للاحداث الرياضية ، وقد قام الباحثون باستخدام المنهج الوصفى ، وقد تم تطبيق البحث على عينة عشوائية عددها (600) طالب وطالبة من طلاب جامعة کفر الشيخ ، وقد إستخدم الباحثون فى جمع البيانات استمارة استبيان من تصميم الباحثون ،وقد أسفرت النتائج على أن أکثر القنوات مشاهدة هيا قناة أون سبورت لانها قد تکون حريصة على متابعة أخبار الرياضة لحظة بلحظة وبث جميع المباريات لکثير من الفرق ، وأن أغلب أفراد العينة تتابع البرامج الرياضية ثلاث ساعات ، ويتابعونها ليلا ومن حيث أثر البرامج مشاهدة هو برنامج ملعب الأهلى ومن حيث أکثر الانشطة مشاهدة هى رياضة کرة القدم لانها الأکثر شعبية بين افراد العينة .
