المستخلص :
هدفت الدراسة الكشف عن دور المدرسة الثانوية العامة بالكويت في تنمية مهارات التفكير الإبداعي لدى الطلاب.
       استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي ، كما استخدمت الاستبانة كأداة للتعرف علي واقع دور المدرسة الثانوية بالكويت في تنمية مهارات التفكير الإبداعي لدى الطلاب ، وذلك من وجهة نظر عينة الدراسة التي شملت طلاب بعض المدارس الثانوية العامة التابعة لمحافظات الكويت الستة (العاصمة ، الفروانية ، حولي ، مبارك الكبير ، الجهراء ، الأحمدي).  
   وكشفت نتائج الدراسة عن أن واقع دور المدرسة الثانوية العامة بالكويت في تنمية مهارات التفكير الإبداعي لدى الطلاب جاءت جميعها في النطاق (متوسط) التحقق ، ماعدا واقع دور طرق التدريس ونظم الامتحانات جاءت في النطاق (منخفض) التحقق ، الأمر الذي يستلزم تقديم مجموعة من التوصيات والمقترحات لتفعيل هذا الدور في ضوء مجتمع المعرفة.

Abstract:
The study aimed to reveal the role of public secondary school in Kuwait in developing the creative thinking skills among the students considering the knowledge society.
       The study used the descriptive approach, and the questionnaire tool to identify the real role of secondary school in Kuwait in developing the creative thinking skills among the students, from the point of view of the study sample, which included the students at some public secondary schools affiliated to the 6 Kuwaiti districts (Al-Asimah, Al-Farwaniyah, Huwly, Mubarak Al-Kabeer, Al-Jahra, Alahmadi).
The results of the study revealed that: 
The results of the field study of the real role of public secondary school in Kuwait in developing students' creative thinking skills considering the knowledge society revealed that, all came within the medium verification range, except for the teaching methods role and the examination systems came within the low verification range, which requires the development of a set of recommendations and suggestions to activate such important role.
