يعد الاخراج الصحفي أمل المجلة في التميز عن غيرها من المجلات حيث ان الشکل يصافح أبصار القراء قبل المضمون ،کما أن الاخراج الصحفي لابد أن يؤدي غرضا وظيفيا بجانب الشکل الجمالي،وتکمن أهمية هذه الدراسة في مقارنة مجلة مصرية بمجلة أمريکية خاصة أن المجلات الامريکية على وجة التحديد توجة عناية فائقة نحو مظهرها وتستعين بأخصائيين في فن التصميم الصحفي ،وذلک للوقوف على الاتجاهات الحديثة في اخراج المجلات الامريکية،وتوصلت الدراسة التحليلية والميدانية الى تفوق مجلة النيوزويک الامريکية على مجلة أکتوبر المصرية في التصميم والمعالجات التيبوغرافية ،وأوصت الدراسة باجراء المزيد من الدراسات حول تفضيلات القراء وأن تحذو المجلة المصرية حذو المجلة الامريکية،کما أوصت بضرورة دراسة الصحف الأجنبية سواء من الناحية التحريرية أو الاخراجية لنأخذ منها مايدفع اعلامنا العربي الى الأمام.
Abstract:
Journalistic layout  is the hope of magazine to be more distingwishable than other magazines as the readers sight always fall on layout before content more over  the journalistic presentation must have functional purpose In the addition to the aesthentic form
The importance of this study resides in the comparison  between Egyptian magazine and American one especially the American magazines pay more intensive care to their layout and refuge specialists in the art of journalistic  design
This study  help to recognize the modern trends of layout of the American magazines
The analytic and field study concluded that the American ''News week ''is more prerogative than ''October '' magazine in design and typograohic processes .
They recommends to have more studies about readers predilections and that Arab magazine should follow the footsteps of the American one.
It also advised to have a study about the foreign magazine in the editing and makeup aspects to make the best use of them in order to devolop our Arab media .
