This research deals with a study of the spell 1130 of the coffin texts and its relationship to divine justice or theodicy. Theodicy may be defined as an attempt to defend divine justice against abnormal phenomena that indicate the deity's indifference or hostility toward righteous people. The spell is unique in including a declaration of the Creator Deity during his cosmic journey through the sky. In this statement, he asserts that the system he created was just and perfect until it was wracked by human actions, and proclaims his supremacy as the Creator and Preserver of the world. This ideal world, thought described in a cosmic setting, is concerned with social justice, and with not giving humans any reason to destroy each other. This is demonstrated by imposing an ideal moral order over chaos, which is represented by human tendency to evil.
