يتناول البحث أهم ما تعرض له علماء الأندلس من محن في عصر بنى الأحمر  ( 635 – 897 هـ / 1238 – 1492م ) ، والتى اتخذت عدة أشکالاً تم رصدها في هذا البحث ، فبعض العلماء کان قد تعرض لمحنة السجن والاعتقال لأسباب سياسية أو آراء علمية او أسباب أخرى مثل الحقد والحسد والوشاية ، ومنهم من تعرض للنفي لذات الأسباب ، کما تعرض البعض منهم محنة للقتل ومنهم من کانت محنته العزل عن المنصب ، ومنهم من کانت محنته التعذيب ومصادرة الممتلکات ، ومنهم من کان قد تعرض للمحن السالفة کلها أو بعضها .
Abstract
The research deals with the most important of the experiences of the scholars of Andalusia in the era of the sons of the Red (635 - 897 AH / 1238 - 1492 AD), which took several forms have been monitored in this research, some scientists had been the plight of imprisonment and detention for political reasons or scientific opinions or reasons Some of whom were subjected to exile for the same reasons, and some of them were subjected to an ordeal of murder, some of whom were the ordeal of isolation from office, and some of whom were tortured torture and confiscation of property, including those who had been subjected to all or some of the past tribulations.
