Abstract

Calcium is involved in several vital cellular processes including contrac­tile, secretory and neural activities; in most cf them, calcium may be consid­ered as a final intracellufar messenger {Godfraind et al., 1986). In addition, calcium is proved to be an activator of several key enzymes of the cell.
